Lancaster, Spitfire, Hurricane and Duel of Eagles are early Robert Taylor prints that we get offered quite a lot. Unfortunately for various reasons that are rarely in good condition. Fading is the biggest problem, they have usually been framed (not very well) and hung on display for many years - there is nothing that can be done to recover a faded print. This example though has been stored away from light so the colours are still sound - unfortunately the white border has been trimmed off and there are a number of blemishes and handling marks visible under close examination. The signature of Leonard Cheshire is sound though and the imperfections would be mostly invisible if the print was framed. For a completely mint example of this print we would advertise at around £450-500. This copy is for sale by the owner at just £95 or offers.
