Nicolas Trudgian emerged on the aviation art scene in the early 1990s and a relatively short time has built a strong international reputation. The Trudgian trademark is a strong graphical style with bold colour and plenty of supporting detail. The editions that seem most popular with collectors are those like Dawn Chorus and Spitfire Country where the artist has built a powerful image around a detailed ground scene.
Being a relatively new artist, Nicolas has had less time for the value of his prints to mature than the likes of Taylor and Phillips. Having said that many are showing creditable appreciation and our Rising Stars choices are the ones for the future we think will do well.
Our current Top 5 Nicolas Trudgian editions by value below are headed up by In Defense of the Reich, a superb interpretation of Me262s taking off from a Bavarian airfield towards the end of the war.
